The first edition of As happy as a strawberry appeared in 2011. Author Sabine van den Bulk had a near death experience, resulting from shock and two cardiac arrests. After her recovery, Sabine specialized as an NDE therapist: ‘An NDE is not an illness, but part of a life process, just like birth and death. The experience is different for everyone.’
Speaking about Sabine’s book, Pim van Lommel, the renowned cardiologist, researcher and author who gained worldwide fame for his large-scale clinical study of near-death experiences in patients who had survived cardiac arrest, wrote: ‘The way in which Sabine gives examples from practice and everyday life makes the book understandable and easy to read. It is suitable for anyone who is open to this and wants to face life ‘as happy as a strawberry’.
